The following stocks are sorted in descending order of greatest “yield.”

Please note some of these may have had “special” dividends or spinoff payments which will not repeat.

All dividends are calculated based on the “Ex-EFF Date.”

Here’s a “table of averages” for the 25 issues below; not definitive, but kind of interesting.


[1] Altria Group Inc [MO]

MO had total dividends of $4.0800 from 7/1/2024 to 6/30/2025. During that time frame it had a starting price of $46.03, a high price of $61.26, a low price of $45.73, and a 6/30/2025 price of $58.63. This means that it had a yield of 8.86%, or an average monthly yield of 0.74%. The peak-to-valley is -25.35%. The capital gains were 27.37%. The overall gain/loss (cap gains + yield) is 36.24%, or a gain/loss per month of 3.03%. The average volume since inception was 8,487,744.

[2] Entergy Corp [ETR]

ETR had total dividends of $3.5300 from 7/1/2024 to 6/30/2025. During that time frame it had a starting price of $52.87, a high price of $88.38, a low price of $52.07, and a 6/30/2025 price of $83.12. This means that it had a yield of 6.68%, or an average monthly yield of 0.56%. The peak-to-valley is -41.08%. The capital gains were 57.22%. The overall gain/loss (cap gains + yield) is 63.89%, or a gain/loss per month of 5.35%. The average volume since inception was 2,795,253.

[3] Verizon Communications Inc [VZ]

VZ had total dividends of $2.6975 from 7/1/2024 to 6/30/2025. During that time frame it had a starting price of $41.74, a high price of $47.36, a low price of $37.59, and a 6/30/2025 price of $43.27. This means that it had a yield of 6.46%, or an average monthly yield of 0.54%. The peak-to-valley is -20.63%. The capital gains were 3.67%.
