A Quick Note About our AI Gnome Art
We hope you will laugh with us
One of the great things about doing Dividend Farmer is the “AI gnome art.”
Our prompts are pretty simple — a gnome doing this-or-that, wearing a t-shirt, with a fun little creature on his shoulder. That’s it.
But the AI image generator we use seems to have just that right amount of “whimsy and the comical” to make some of these images “laugh until you cry” worthy.
Like yesterday’s image of the lady gnome floating down the river — for the first part of the prompt all we gave the AI was: “A gnome wearing a swim cap.”
All of the other images in that series came out as male gnomes.
Some of those images were boring. Some were a little wrong. Some were close seconds, and some were so funny we were ROFL:
A little gnome, “driving angry” and a river cow. LOL!
So if you’re not laughing when you see that one, well, we can’t really explain why that is funny, only that it kind of is.
Also, what is up with this random spirit cow? And the paddles? LOL!
All of that to say, we just wanted to let you know — that we know — that people have a lot of trauma in their lives.
Our intent, always, is to give people something to chuckle about, not trigger past traumas.
That said, it’s inevitable that sometimes we are going to irritate, or genuinely piss some people off with our gnome art. But like an uncle of mine said — “if you are going to make people laugh, never do so at anyone’s expense.”
And that is our golden rule with the AI art — we might sometimes get it wrong — but we hope that in the main, everyone gets a good chuckle (or at least a smile) out of every post.
For today’s image, “The Lady of the River” — what’s to say what a gnome’s traditional standard of beauty might be?
Our AI seemed to think that a bearded gnome lady is where it’s at.
Gimli, the dwarf in the Lord of the Rings film The Two Towers says: “It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.”
So for a gnome “The Lady of the River” may be the equivalent of a Vogue cover.
Anyways, we initially tried just having the dry data with pictures of farm equipment and farm machinery. Which left us kind of flat.
Gnomes are just more fun.
We hope you agree, and that, from time to time, you get as good a chuckle out of the images as we do.
And if you don’t, we hope you will forgive us (and our AI) for going a bit off the chain from time to time.
Just remember that life without a bit of laughter… is no fun at all.
